How to read our lists

Where does the data come from?

Each list comes from the RBQ list of active licences (Données Québec, CC BY 4.0), updated every night; the data date is shown above the list and at the bottom of the page (currently: November 3, 2026). Housing figures come from the Statistics Canada 2021 Census (table 98-10-0233-01). For an official check, use the RBQ register.

In what order are companies shown?

Profiles confirmed by the company come first, then the others in a random order refreshed every week. No company pays for its place in the list.

What does “Featured” mean?

The “Ad · Featured” block above a list is a promotional placement (paid, or offered during the launch offer). It is always labelled as such and does not change the order of the list.

What should I check for the permit and the licence?

Wait for the permit before starting, put in writing who applies and pays for it, and check that the company’s RBQ licence covers the work. The printable checklist before you sign lists what to check.
